VETAMPLIUS MUCOSOL contains
Bromhexine, which disables bacterial mucous secretion
that protects the pathogen from the effects of the broad-spectrum
antibiotics such as Ampicillin. Ampicillin; is a semi-synthetic
and bactericide penicillin especially effective against
Gram (+) microorganisms (Streptococci, non-penicillinase
producing Staphylococci, Clostridium and Bacillus anthraxis)
and Gram (-) microorganisms (E.coli, Proteus. clebsiella,
Haemophilus, Salmonella, Pasteurella). The activity mechanism
of this antibiotic is trough the inhibition of cellular
membrane construction; therefore, it mostly acts upon
the sensitive pathogens during their growth phase. After
1-hour post-administration via i.m or s.c, its plasma
concentrations, regardless of animal specie, reach to
the peak value. The drug is bound to the serum proteins
slightly and is completely distributed to the tissues
and organic compartments (including brain-spine liquid
in meningitis). Large quantity of this product is excreted
in unmetabolized form via urine. Its activity increases
with PH decrease in urine. Bromhexin increases mucosal
and bronchial secretions. It decreases the viscosity of
bronchial secrete and stimulates respiratory system by
antitoxigenic activity.
Bromhexine is generally increases the activity of the
antibiotics, especially ampicilline and assists antibiotic
substance to act upon the microorganism better and easily.
VETAMPLIUS MUCOSOL; is used for the treatment of respiratory
diseases; especially, In cattle, ships and goats: Tracheitis,
acute and chronic bronchitis, acute bronchopneumonia,
viral diseases and bacterial infections following the
infestation of lung parasites In equine: acute and chronic
bronchitis, pneumonia and bronchopneumonia Poultry; coriosa,
laringotracheatis, chronic respiratory diseases (CRD)
