REUFLOGIN Solution for Injections contains a non-steroid antinflammatory substance, diclofenac sodium, which is also analgesic, antispasmolytic, and antipyretic. The action mechanism includes the inhibition of synthesis of cyclooxygenase enzyme, responsible for arachidonic acid metabolism and prostaglandin, prostacilin and tromboxane synthesis. High resorbtion rate of this preparation from alimentary tract and muscle tissue enables the administration not only via intramuscular route but also via rectal and intra muscular routes. The highest serum concentrations are obtained in equines and cattle within 1 hour after the administration, of 2.5 mg/kg dose, trough i.m. route. Serum drug level starts to decrease after 72 hours. More than 99% of the drug within the circulation is serum proteins-bound. Diclofenac and its metabolic yields are eliminated from the organism trough urine and bile.
USAGE AND DOSING
REUFLOGIN Solution for Injections; pharmacologic dose of diclofenac sodium is calculated as 2.5 mg/kg b.w.; administer parenterally in the following doses:
Ruminant - equine: 5 ml / 100 b.w / day
Im administration is recommended in al cases. I.v administration should be applied only, in emergency cases.
