diminazene, a diamidine group substance, is affective
against Piroplasma (Babesia), Theileria and Trypanosoma
speices. At the same time, it exhibits bactericidal activity
against some bacteria (particularly against Brucella and
Streptococcus strains). Immediate and selective effect
against Trypanosoma spp is due to blocking the oxidation
activities and glucose metabolism of microorganisms. It
is believed that the same mechanism also to be effective
