Benzalkonium chloride, a quaternary ammonium derivate, has strong antiseptic and disinfecting effect. Benzalkonium chloride exhibits effective bactericide, antiviral and fungicide activity against Gram (+) and main Gram (-) microorganisms, viruses (foot-and-mouth disease, new castle, raibies etc.), Mycoplasma and monocariote fungi species. Nonirritant for skin, mucosa and serosa. Spotless, deodorant. Its superior activity continues also in low concentrations or hard waters.
